Delete your Acriority account
You can delete your Acriority account and its data from the app or by email.
In the app
- Open Acriority and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete my account, then Continue.
- Enter your current password and confirm.
Your account is then scheduled for deletion and every device is signed out.
Without the app
Email support@acriority.com from the email address of your account, with the subject Delete my account. We reply to that address to confirm the request before we act on it, so nobody else can delete your account. Never send us your password.
30 days to change your mind
Nothing is erased for 30 days. During that time you can still sign in, look at your data and export a copy (Settings → Export my data). Changes you make meanwhile wait on your phone and are saved only if you cancel. To keep your account, sign in and tap Cancel deletion in Settings.
What is deleted
After the 30 days we erase:
- your account: email address, password (stored only as a one-way hash), display name, timezone and settings;
- everything you created: Categories, goals, quests, schedules, templates, progress readings and reflections;
- your full history, XP and levels;
- your devices and sign-in records, and the usage analytics stored with your account.
This final erasure is currently done by hand, so it can happen some time after the 30 days end; we do not yet guarantee a fixed date. If you want to know whether your data has been erased, write to support@acriority.com.
What is kept
- Security log. Entries such as "signed in" or "deletion requested" stay, with the link to your account removed. They hold the time, the action, a shortened IP address, the app's user-agent string and a few details of the action. We have not yet set an automatic deletion period for them.
- Backups. Our hosting provider keeps automatic recovery points of the database for 3 days. Separately, we sometimes make full copies of the database for recovery or maintenance: exports, which our hosting provider keeps for at least 7 days, and copies we download. These copies do not expire on their own; they can contain your data until we delete them, and we have not yet set a fixed period for deleting them.
- Usage data sent to PostHog. If usage analytics was on for your account, some of your usage data may have been sent to PostHog, our analytics provider. It carries a random identifier, not your email address or account ID, and the erasure of your account does not remove it. We intend to delete it.
- On your phone. The app's local copy is not removed by the deletion itself. Sign out of the app, or uninstall it, to remove the copy from the device.
The details are in our Privacy Policy.
